Job seekers - Mature Age Employment

“If it weren’t for Jobcare, I wouldn’t be here now. They helped me find a new direction and gave me the confidence to approach a respected employer who I am now working for.”
Margaret – a participant from an earlier program.

Jobcare leads the way in Mature Age Employment.

Jobcare is leading the way in helping mature age workers find employment with companies who value experience and loyalty. Funded by the State Government’s Community Jobs Plan – Employment Assistance, Jobcare has developed a job search program especially for mature age people.

About the Program

Each program provides for flexibility but follows a framework of 4 mornings per week over 5 weeks. We limit the places to 12 participants to maximise individual attention and facilitate group involvement. Each participant is given comprehensive workbook with many extra handouts. We have a bank of computers for preparing resumes, selection criteria and covering letters and the Internet for searching company information. Throughout the program we use several career aides that allow you to consider interests and skills that you may not previously have used in the workplace.

What does the workbook cover?

Click here for an overview of the workbook.

If you are unable to attend one of our programs, but require assistance with your job search we offer the workbook for sale at $25.00 plus postage. Please phone us to discuss your requirements or order your copy on line by clicking here.

What is the cost to attend the 5 week program?

There is no cost to participants.

The program is an initiative of the State Government and funded through the Department of Employment and Training, under the Community Jobs Plan – Employment Assistance. To assist in our running expenses we do however ask for a small contribution for photocopying, use of telephone, fax etc.
